Yan Leisheng (born 1970, Lin Ping, Hangzhou), original name Zhang Jian, vice-chairman of Zhejiang Online Writers Association. He comes from an engineering background but loves poetry and writing. Yan’s work is inderdisciplinary, covering a wide variety of genres, including wuxia novels, science fiction, thriller, fantasy, old poetry and modern literature, among which he is fascinated by ancient poetry. Known as one of the best fantasy writers in mainland China, Yan’s use of language is characterized by simplicity, clarity, freshness and naturalness. His skillful writing displays his acute perceptions into the complexities of psychology and relationship. As a veteran sci-fiction fan, Yan Leisheng has admired old sci-fiction writers such as Le Yonglie, Zheng Wenguang, Tong Enzheng. His sci- fiction novels have been published in Science Fiction World and gained several prizes. His major works include the series Truth Can Be Known, the alternate history novel Heaven’s Vigorous Movement, story collection Buried Alive and prose collection Picking Up Phrases from Somebody: Classic Allegories, etc. Jiang Bo (born January 15, 1978, Zhejiang), a representative of the newer generation of science fiction writers, graduated from Tsinghua University with a master’s degree in microelectronics, and works in a foreign- funded company in Shanghai conducting semiconductor research. Jiang Bo’s work is rich in content with simple language, cool style and fertile imagination, full of the unique artistic charm of hard science fiction, which enables him to win the Galaxy Award for several times. In November 2017, Jiang’s novel The Galaxy Heart gained the heavyweight “best novel” for the 28th Galaxy Award, winning 100,000 yuan in prize money.
